Safe, Sturdy, Reliable – I have a little kid at home so I went with the self retractable model and I am happy. Also, blade is not metal, is ceramic and while is sharp to open boxes without problems, if you touch the uncovered tip, does not feel that dangerous.

“Ergonomic” design makes it awkward, slow, and inefficient. – This is a cool-looking cutter. But what I need is a cutter with a comfy handle that works easily. This ain’t it!

NICE! – This is a really nice box cutter to use, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is related to how it relates to me individually and my only gripe is that it is bulky for me. I’m small with a small frame and it doesn’t fit in my pocket without coming out when I bend down or bend over.

design – I was skeptical @first ($20) I love it so much it is not only safe but eye catching a conversation piece in my line of work I definately suggest this product as a must have its shape alone plus it’s light weight easily held plastic blades never dull I use it all day

It’ll lay you open if your not careful – I love this cutter as I have to cut cardboard every day and lots of it. I carry it in my shorts pocket and it stay put. I’ve later myself open 2 times in a year. It might be a ceramic blade but it’s shape enough that it will cut you and cut you good if your not careful in thinking that it won’t. I have the auto retract and it’s great for what I’m doing as I cut lids off of everything I have to take to the line. I would say that since I’ve been using it for a year now that the blade last for awhile. However if you want it to be shape as like new then you’ll need to flip the blade to the other side. So that would make the blade with everyday use for 5-6 days a week in heavy use last about 2 months with the blade being flipped over once. As far as the cutter itself I’ve been through 3 cutters now. As for different reasons. 1. The top where the blade can become lose after awhile. 2. The auto retract button that use slide up and down to get the blade to come out gets a stuck type of feeling which seems to push out the side of the piece that comes of the replace the blade. Overall I will continue to use this cutter. As i did notice on the cutter I just received there is no place to put an extra blade. Which I’m glad they finally made it a one piece handle. Just a little shout out to myself as I wrote Slice.com and suggested this because the blade holder on the handle would become lose and fly off and get lost. Which made using/placement of the cutter without that piece awkward. Now I’m just waiting on my royalties to come in on using my idea. Slice I’m still waiting on this.
