      BRIGHT – Ordering a small bed side lamp seems like it should be anything but simple, and it was with this lamp. It base is small enough to fit on the small shelf we have on the bedside table. The switch is large enough to find even in absolute darkness. The shade….. I ordered what I thought would be idle for a bed side table. What I got was something doesn’t even attempt to give some shade from the light bulb. I have tried it with a number of different bulbs varying in watts to see if there is a noticeable difference… The answer, no. I suggest if you’re going to get this go with the darker lighting shade. If your going to use it for something like a living room light then its perfect. If its going in your bedroom as a reading light or just something to turn on to go to the bathroom at night, get a dark shade. It is just as bright as my ceiling light regardless of the bulb I put in. I would buy this light again if needed though.

      Does what it’s supposed to – Does what it needs to. Was a bit difficult to get retaining ring and light bulb in place, but that’s probably because I have big hands and you have to reach down into the shade from the top so you can’t see what you’re doing.

      Nice for home office setup – Worth the purchase and compliments my home office setup nicely. I saw some reviews stating the lamp wasn’t sturdy which hasn’t been my experience. I removed the tightening bolt, placed the shade, added the bolt back, and then inserted an eco bulb.

They’re super-cheap, practically zero assembly, and make no mistake they’re extremely basic construction and materials, which is obvious if you inspect them. But from any distance, they look pretty sophisticated actually and fit in well with a modern, simplistic look that makes them look almost designer. And if you throw a bright white LED (like the Amazon Basic model, e.g.) it generates a surprising amount of light, much more than the old-school lights you might have had on your nightstand. Definitely recommended.
